We would like to request support from our colleagues across the institution to help in supporting these large university events.
Graduation ceremonies are high profile events which reflect well on the University and we are keen that our ceremonies are supported by staff from all areas to ensure that they run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. We require support from staff in Faculties, Schools and Professional Services to help out with ushering, crowd control and other duties.
We appreciate everyone is busy but graduation is an enjoyable day and it is a great privilege to see our students cross the stage and receive their awards.
Could you please let Anne Bankhead a.bankhead@napier.ac.uk know if you can volunteer your services for one or more of the days by Friday 10 October at the latest. Please note there is only one ceremony on Wednesday 29 October and we would need staff from approximately 12 noon, providing lunch in the ‘green room’ with most duties commencing at 12.30pm.
It is important that staff guarantee their commitment to the day, as it can cause significant difficulties if people drop out at the last minute.
Kind Regards
Cathy Lambert
Director of Student & Academic Services
