A University project in Kenya has been recognised as one of Britain’s top 20 research studies for improving people’s lives.
It was selected from 6,975 impact case studies submitted to the Research Excellence Framework (REF) – the system that’s used to assess the research quality of all UK universities.
Judges reviewed the massive database and picked the top 20 most impressive examples of UK research contributing to global development. Science writers then helped re-write the case studies into engaging stories which demonstrate the importance of research to inclusive, sustainable development.
