Information Services are pleased to announce the University-wide launch of new reading list software, Leganto.

This is a Moodle-integrated reading list system, which will help teaching staff quickly and easily create and update reading lists. Students will be able to access digital reading lists via Moodle, with the ability to comment and collaborate with other students.

Advantages for you include:

• Drag-and-drop addition from a browser widget while searching online, plus integration with LibrarySearch – meaning you no longer need to enter items manually.
• Student engagement metrics - you will be able to see the number of students that have accessed an item on your reading list.
• Lists can be automatically sent to the Library – making for quick collaboration around new resource priorities, digitisation and copyright compliance.

Module leaders – Reading list support deadline

We are committed to helping ensure that all students have online reading lists in Moodle.

Information Services staff can assist in the input of your module reading lists, if we receive them in time.

To send us your reading list for input:

Go to Unidesk > Click Use Self Service Desk > Forms > Reading List.

Complete the module number and upload your reading list (Word or Excel document).

The deadline for sending your reading list for Trimester One 17/18 is Friday 28 July.

After that date, we cannot guarantee availability of reading lists and resources for the start of trimester.

Reading list closing dates for Trimester One may prove difficult for some Schools. If this is the case, please negotiate with your Subject Librarian.
