Our Service Standards To You

 

Under the lead of the Head of Maintenance, Graham Esplin, the directly employed Buildings Operation team consists of

 

Building Surveyor - Atholl McInnes

Maintenance Supervisor - Alan Curtis

2 Joiners

3 Painter and Decorators

5 Electricians

 

To ensure standards are maintained, all staff are kept up to date with:
 

  • Technical knowledge
  • Health and Safety Issues
  • Internal and External Training
  • Approved procedure of all activities

The section also employs the services of a number of specialist contractors, who require to undergo:

 

  • Technical assessment
  • Health and Safety vetting to ensure university standards are met
  • Public liability insurance checks to ensure the level of cover is sufficient for the tasks they perform

 

 

On going and regular spot checks and safety audits are carried out on both internal employees and contractors, to quickly identify and correct any poor practices and to ensure that the work provided by the section remains of a good standard.

 

The Property and Maintenance Team work to the standards set out in the Service Level Statement.

 

We aim to provide an efficient, timely and cost effective service to maintain the internal and external fabric of all the University's properties in order to provide an acceptable environment for the university community.
