The Graduate Employability Project

Specifically the project aims to target Scottish domiciled students and:

  • Improve graduate level employment rates from 77% in 2010/11 to 83% in 2014/15 (based on 2013/14 graduating students) in full-time paid work only.
  • Ensure graduate level employment of at least 50% in all subject areas.
  • Increase the number of Edinburgh Napier students spending a period of their programme abroad.

Each Faculty has a differing set of objectives, within the Business School the aims of the project are to increase the proportion of students in graduate employment overall and to particularly focus on graduate level employment in key subject areas and employment within SMEs. It is intended that in collaboration with module and programme leaders the Business School and the support of Professional Services we will:

  • Integrate work-based and employer-linked learning opportunities into modules and programmes, whilst being sensitive and responsive to different sector needs and regional economic development priorities.
  • Develop partnerships with targeted sectors and local employers, including SMEs.
  • Support students with targeted careers information, advice and guidance.
