Data Encryption
All University managed laptops are encrypted by default with Bitlocker. This means that any data stored on the hard drive of the laptop cannot be accessed by unauthorised users.
If you need to encrypt data held elsewhere, please get in touch by contacting the IS Service Desk:

Please note: we do not recommend storing data on the hard drive of your laptop as this is not backed up, you should store data in the appropriate University recommended areas, more information can be found on the Saving Files and Data Storage page.
