Title
Free Flu Vaccination Clinics

Description

We are pleased to collaborate once again with our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) provider, MCL Medics, to provide colleagues with the opportunity to receive the flu vaccine.

Getting flu is unpleasant for most people affecting us all in different ways but it can be life threatening for some people with underlying health conditions. We are keen to offer colleagues the opportunity to receive the flu vaccine (for free) to help protect you not only for your own wellbeing, but also to reduce the chance of you spreading it to family/friends/colleagues who may be a serious risk if they catch it.

The best time to have the flu vaccine is in the autumn or early winter before flu starts to spread, that's why our flu vaccine clinics will be set up across all campuses this October.

Sighthill: Tuesday 3 October 2023. NO SPACES AVAILABLE BUT CHECK AVAILABILITY IF COLLEAGUES CANCEL.

Merchiston: Wednesday 4 October 2023. SPACES AVAILABLE.

Craiglockhart: Thursday 5 October 2023. SPACES AVAILABLE

The flu vaccination is safe and effective, and it’s offered every year to help protect people at risk of getting seriously ill from the flu. Please note that if you are eligible for the free vaccine on the NHS, you can book your flu vaccine through your GP or go to a pharmacy that offers the vaccine on the NHS. If you are eligible through the NHS for the flu vaccine, then we politely request you leave these campus clinic slots for colleagues not eligible to ensure as many colleagues as possible benefit from this opportunity. Click here to check if you are eligible through the NHS. To register for one of the clinics, please click the appropriate link below and the video will instruct how to book your slot:

Please note that for the efficient running of the clinic, you must complete the Influenza Pre-Vaccine Questionnaire prior to the appointment. Please print, complete and present it to the nurse at your scheduled time. For more information about the flu vaccine, please click here.
