Quality & Standards
The University is committed to maintaining academic standards and quality during this period of extraordinary challenge, and we are taking account of sector-wide guidance issued by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) to help us to continue to effectively manage quality assurance expectations. Unless otherwise advised, the processes set out within the University’s Quality Framework, and the principles of external examining, must continue to be followed. We acknowledge that these unprecedented events, will necessitate some temporary amendments to a number of our Academic Regulations to ensure no academic detriment to students as a result of COVID-19 and work is underway to ensure that these are developed and approved prior to trimester two Programme Assessment Boards.
With colleagues and students now working remotely, clearly ‘normal’ face-to-face quality events and activities cannot take place. As such, we have developed some hints and tips on how to conduct some of our quality processes remotely. We will continue to update and develop this guidance in true enhancement fashion, by sharing good practice gathered from within the University and the wider sector.
If you have any questions or suggestions for additional resources and guidance relating to quality and standards, please contact us at email@example.com.
