​The University's annual leave period runs from 1 September to 31 August, If you have not already planned your leave for the rest of the year please do so, as it is important that you take regular breaks throughout the year away from work, to look after your wellbeing.

We ask that you ensure you have your leave planned and booked as much in advance as possible to ensure that you have used your leave entitlement prior to the 31 August 2024. Please check and submit your leave requests on HR Connect. 

As we will soon be approaching the middle point of our leave year, there is a second opportunity to purchase additional leave for use in the 2023/2024 year.

The Mid-year Annual Leave Purchase window will be open from 1 February 2024 and will close on 28 February 2024. Leave purchased in this window is then recovered direct from your salary over a period of six months (March to August 2024).

A maximum of your weekly contracted hours can be purchased in one year, so any leave bought at the start of the 2023/2024 leave year is included in this.
