​We are pleased to an announce that the Library has reviewed borrowing and lending processes and implemented new Circulation Guidelines.  We are aiming to provide fair access to Library resources to all with clear circulation rules, minimal and fair application of library fines, and effective communications. 

After collecting user feedback, we now have a number of new guidelines in place.

Key changes include:

• ​All Edinburgh Napier University students and staff can borrow 30 items regardless of material type. 
• All Library items can be borrowed for a minimum of seven days, with automatic renewals. 
• Student can borrow laptops for 14 days. There will no longer be fines for overdue laptops, access will instead be locked remotely. 
• If an item is claimed returned, the Library will search for it for three weeks. If it is not found, it will be deemed lost and the replacement cost added to the user account.
• Postal loans are now free of charge to all students and staff in the UK, with the user paying the fee for return postage.
