Last month’s Festival of Politics 2018 opened the Scottish Parliament’s doors to an eclectic mix of politicians, journalists, commentators, artists, poets and academics to debate a broad range of topics.
2018 is the Year of Young People and School of Computing Associate Lecturer Alicja Pawluczak joined representatives from the NUS, Common Vision and the Scottish Youth Parliament on a sold out panel to discuss ‘Brexit and Young People’.
Alicja is also PhD researcher with an interest in digital youth work and literacy, so was well placed to share and exchange views with the other panellists.
“The future of Brexit was one of the key themes of this year's Festival of Politics, along with #MeToo, fake news and social media addiction.
“Overall, I found the discussion useful and informative in the context of our awareness, or lack of it, when it comes to Brexit negotiations, and the visions of the post-Brexit Britain.”
