Edinburgh Napier University’s colleague engagement survey, Your Voice, is launching on Tuesday 8 November 2022.

Our ambition is to make Edinburgh Napier University a great place to work, and we need you to help us achieve that goal. You can improve your experience working at the University by using your voice to help us create a positive culture; where colleagues feel connected, valued and able to make a difference.

Our last colleague engagement survey took place in 2018 and a lot has changed since then – the work we do, how we do it and where we do it has been impacted in ways we would never have imagined. So, this survey gives you the opportunity to reflect and tell us what really matters to you – together we really can make a difference and create a positive employee experience.

We are partnering with an external survey provider People Insight to carry out the survey and on Tuesday 8 November, you (a permanent and fixed-term colleague) will receive an email from them with a link inviting you to participate. The survey will take no more than 15 minutes to complete so do please find the time to have your say.

Colleagues who are not desk based can access and complete the survey using a QR code.

All responses will remain totally anonymous, and all personal data will be kept strictly confidential and processed in compliance with our staff privacy notice - this means that the information provided cannot be traced back to a single individual.

Colleague engagement is one of the most important indicators in gauging work satisfaction, so we’d like to encourage as many of you as possible to complete the survey. It’s really important for us to gather as much information as possible about your experience working at the University, so that we can make better decisions and drive meaningful change to truly make a difference across the whole University.

We will communicate the results from the survey and identify the actions we need to take that will have the biggest and most positive difference to our culture. We will track our actions and continue to provide updates on progress made – this is the start of a journey, and we will be able to make a difference quite easily in some things and with other actions it might take us a little longer to implement, but we are committed to this process.

And what’s also great about this survey, is not only are you helping to make a difference at the University, but for every survey completed, £2 will be donated to the Hardship Fund to help students who need it most.

Remember to check your inbox for your unique link and complete the survey by Tuesday 29 November.
