We’re delighted to share that ten new 7kW electric vehicle
(EV) charging points are now available for use at our Sighthill Campus.
Installation of the new units is one of many commitments embedded within our Environmental Sustainability
Strategy.
You can access the charging points using a ChargePlace Scotland
account card. However, in the near future the units will also be able to accept
debit and credit cards.
The financial charge for use of all units throughout the
University is £0.45/kWh with a minimum charge of £1.50 per connection. The
charging bays can only be used by vehicles that are actively charging and we
ask that you please consider all other users and only use a bay and unit when
required.
We know a lot of colleagues will welcome the new EV charging
points and we are currently investigating opportunities for further charging
units, including units at Craiglockhart and Merchiston.
If you have any queries relating to use of the units, please
