The dates for our autumn graduation ceremonies at the Usher Hall, Lothian Road, Edinburgh, are below. We would like to request support from our colleagues across the University to help in supporting these large celebratory events:
Wednesday 26 October 2022 at 2pm
- The School of Applied Sciences
- The Business School
Thursday 27 October 2022 at 11am
- The School of Arts & Creative Industries
- The School of Computing
- The School of Engineering & the Built Environment
- The School of Health & Social Care – for all H&SC programmes except pre-registration Nursing (Bachelor and Masters in Nursing: Adult, Child Health, Mental Health and Learning Disability)
Thursday 27 October 2022 at 3pm

Graduation ceremonies are high profile events which reflect well on the University and we are keen that our ceremonies are supported by staff from all areas to ensure that they run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. We require support from staff in Schools and Professional Services to help out with ushering and other duties.
We appreciate everyone is busy but graduation is an enjoyable day and it is a great privilege to see our students cross the stage and receive their awards.
Could you please let Eilidh McFarlane e.mcfarlane@napier.ac.uk and Theresa Thompson t.thompson@napier.ac.uk know if you can volunteer your services for one or more of the days by Friday 30 September at the latest.
Please note there is only one ceremony on Wednesday 26 October (starting at 2pm) and we would need some staff from approximately 11am, providing lunch in the green room with some duties commencing at 11.30am.
It is important that staff guarantee their commitment to a full day if possible, as it can cause significant difficulties if people drop out at the last minute.
