Library Services update – essential access only

Following the latest Government guidance, Edinburgh Napier’s libraries will be open for essential access for current students and staff only.

The new restrictions state browsing and access to books on library shelves will be suspended until further notice. You can request books in advance using Click and Collect and you will receive an email when they are ready for collection.

Helpdesks are closed. For help, email library@napier.ac.uk or call 0131 455 3500.

Other arrangements for your health and safety will continue as outlined in Library Services and COVID-19, including:

  • Book a study space in advance using Resource Booker
  • You need to wear a face covering at all times while you are in our libraries (apart from those exempt)
  • Books will be quarantined for 72 hours between users

The central Library Services and COVID-19 webpage will continue to be updated with the latest information following any government changes, so please check this before you plan a visit.

Online access

Remember, you can continue to access ebooks, ejournals and databases using LibrarySearch. When using LibrarySearch off-campus, make sure you sign in to see everything you have access to and use the filters on the right hand side under ‘Tweak my results’ to limit your search if you only want to see online resources. You can find more information via Finding Resources.
