Title
Have your say on Hydrogen Electric Aviation

Description

Are you interested in the future of aviation? If yes, have your say…

We are looking for volunteers from Edinburgh to participate in a small focus group workshop and give their opinion towards new hydrogen electric technologies. We have two upcoming workshops so you can choose which one to attend.

  • Venue: Rivers Suite, Craiglockhart Campus, 219 Colinton Road, Edinburgh, EH14 1DJ
  • Date: Saturday 4 December (11am – 1pm) and Friday 10 December (6pm – 8pm)

What is Project HEART?

As part of the UK Government’s Future Flight Challenge, Project HEART (Hydrogen-Electric & Automated Regional Transportation) will develop a UK wide fully sustainable and scalable air transport network.

We are looking to construct and operate what would be the world’s first zero emission 19-seater commercial aircraft route, operating in Scotland by 2025. This involves hydrogen electric technologies, which present opportunities to deliver the same performance as a conventional aircraft engine, but with zero carbon emissions and at around half of the operating costs.

We are looking for volunteer participants to represent Scotland’s public opinion towards new hydrogen electric technologies. Anyone can take part in the workshop – you don’t have to be an expert! By taking part, you will give us an insight into social acceptance issues such safety and trust towards these new technologies.

Places are limited so you need to complete the online registration form if you want to participate. If you are selected, our event organisers from Edinburgh Napier University will contact you by phone or email with further details. Each participant will also receive a travel reimbursement in the form of a voucher for Lothian Buses.

Register online today.
