Title
Your Voice 2024

Summary
Let us know your experience of working here and what matters to you!

Full Story

Your Voice launched in November 2022, and since then the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and local teams have focused on developing and progressing action plans, in response to your feedback. Last November, we invited you to take part in a short pulse survey to assess the effectiveness of actions already implemented.

The results of the Pulse Survey indicated an overall increase in engagement from 69% to 73%. We were also encouraged to see that 42% of respondents believed that action would be taken on the survey results, an increase from 34% in the 2022 survey. There is, of course, more to do to improve on this and acting on feedback and improving the colleague experience is a key strategic objective for the University which emphasises the importance we place on our people.

Our 2024 Your Voice survey will launch on Tuesday 4 June, and we want to hear your honest feedback about what matters to you and your experience of working here. Please take the time to complete the survey, it should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete and will remain open for three weeks, closing on Tuesday 25 June.

The survey invitation will be sent from our partner, People Insight, so please make sure you look out for this and ensure it doesn't go into your spam folder. There is also the option for Property & Facilities colleagues to complete the survey using a QR code which will be available on postcards which will be distributed to managers and made available in your work area.

All responses go directly to People Insight, who collect, report and analyse the data on behalf of the University. Reports will be produced at University and School/Service levels which helps us to better understand where we need to take action. We only receive reports for groups where there are 10 or more respondents to protect anonymity. Further information is available within the FAQs and Privacy Notice

The 2024 survey is our last full survey before we move to a more frequent listening approach incorporating additional 'listening points' through targeted surveys. These will include measures of overall colleague engagement while also seeking feedback on specific topics of interest such as wellbeing, reward/recognition, and inclusion. This will allow us to measure colleague engagement on an ongoing basis at different points of the year and more regularly respond to feedback.
