Title
My Contribution year-end conversations

Summary
It’s time to schedule your year-end performance conversations.

Full Story

The end of year review forms are now available on HR Connect.

The end of year conversation is an opportunity for you to:

  • Discuss the past year with your manager and celebrate what's already been achieved and discuss any areas for improvement.
  • Reflect on your achievements, progress against your objectives and how you have delivered on your department's plans and strategic priorities.
  • Discuss your personal development, strengths, development areas and future career aspirations.

What you need to do to complete your end of year review?

  1. Review this year's objectives, add a progress update, and then complete the end of year form, explaining WHAT your main achievements were and HOW you went about working on those objectives.
  2. You may wish to consider reaching out to colleagues you have worked closely with on a project or piece of work for their feedback as this can support your personal development.
  3. Meet with your manager to discuss your self-assessment and your manager's feedback. It's also important to reflect on your personal development during the year - what specific skills and knowledge have you developed? How does that link to your own career aspirations?
  4. Close the end of year form in HR Connect; this means you review the self-assessment, click submit, and this then allows your line manager to finalise their end of year feedback.

You should complete your end of year review conversation and actions on our My Contribution system by 31 July 2024 (Senior Manager colleagues should complete by 28 June 2024).
