Event Description:
Come and join us at the Horizon Suite (LRC5) at Sighthill Campus on Tuesday 23rd April to hear about the support and funding opportunities available to help kick-start and establish Knowledge Exchange and Knowledge Transfer projects with external organisations such as businesses, charities, public sector and not-for profit organisations. This is specifically focused on opportunities for subject groups with School of Health & Social Care and School of Applied Science.

We will be joined by external speakers from Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) (TBC) and East of Scotland Knowledge Transfer Partnership (EoS KTP) Centre who will provide information on the services they offer to support external collaboration, and Maggie Reid from the Research Innovation & Enterprise Office who will share examples of subject relevant Knowledge Transfer Partnership projects and RIE support. Finally you will be able to hear from peers who have had KTPs and ask them about the benefits and impact.

Find out more about the benefits of Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP's) and how this funding scheme can help transfer knowledge from your research into tangible impacts.

Speakers:

Serena Broadway is the Senior Knowledge Transfer Adviser for companies based in the East of Scotland and is responsible in developing and managing Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) between local business and academia. St Andrews is one of her nominated institutes and she can help with connecting to other teams at Innovate UK KTN.

Anne-Marie Haughey is the Centre Manager for the East of Scotland KTP Centre which provides full lifecycle support for any Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) projects undertaken by Edinburgh Napier University, The University of Edinburgh, Heriot-Watt University, Queen Margaret University, St Andrews University and Stirling University.
