AppsAnywhere is now available, providing a new way to access software for staff and students.
Like an app store, AppsAnywhere is a web based tool which delivers the software you use, on demand across the University’s staff and student PCs, whenever and wherever you need it, using Cloudpaging technology.
The majority of University software applications are available via AppsAnywhere.
When you log in, you will be presented with the applications. They are listed alphabetically, categorised by School/subject and you can even search the hundreds of applications to create your own favourites list.
How do I access AppsAnywhere?
There are several ways of accessing AppsAnywhere from an Edinburgh Napier managed Windows desktop:
- When you log on to an Edinburgh Napier managed Windows desktop or open a new web browser session AppsAnywhere will open automatically
- It can also be loaded by clicking on the AppsAnywhere icon from either the Windows Start Menu or Desktop
Additional Information for Academic colleagues
The first run of an application may take slightly longer to launch, so you should ask students to open any required applications as soon as they log in.
