Edinburgh Napier University aims to build a community where all our members are empowered to fulfil their full potential and find their own unique place in the world. To achieve this, it's important to have the most up-to-date information about our University community.
We're asking all colleagues to update their personal information on HR Connect before Friday 13 September. This data helps us be a better employer and make informed decisions about the services we provide, where to focus support activities, and how to improve as a university. Additionally, we use this information to fulfil several statutory obligations, such as pay gap reporting under the Equality Act 2010 and the annual return to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA).
We want to ensure that the information we have about you is accurate, including:
- Nationality
- Religion
- Sex
- Gender reassignment history
- Sexual orientation
- Disabilities
We have also introduced some new data collection categories, including identifying British Sign Language users.
You can be confident that we are looking after your personal information. We make sure there are strict rules in place about who has access to the data. We adhere to all UK data protection requirements, and we make sure that all data is anonymised. Your personal and sensitive information remains exactly that.
Details of our Data Protection Statement and Data Protection Privacy Notice & HESA Notices are available via the links or on the intranet.
Please help the University to support our community in the best way possible by ensuring your personal and HESA information is correct.
