WHAT WE DO
- We improve the quality of University’s corporate data ensuring its quality remains high throughout the complete lifecycle of the data and enables making key decisions that support student success and institution’s financial sustainability.
- We identify, scope and deliver solutions that improve business processes and systems.
- We play an important part in making sure Edinburgh Napier University is more data driven and well-positioned for the future.
WE DO THIS BY:
- Timely delivery of statutory returns, including HESA, Aggregate Offshore and Uni Stats.
- Implementation and embedding of the HESA Data Futures programme across the institution ensuring its compliance with HESA returns. Data Futures is a sector-wide transformation programme, led by HESA and shaped by engagement from higher education providers. It will facilitate in-year data collection, assurance and dissemination of HE data.
- Development and implementation of Data Governance framework ensuring that there is a clear data ownership, roles and responsibilities in place and data meets agreed data quality thresholds.
- Working with all relevant departments including a range of stakeholders to ensure processes are successfully adapted, benefits of changes understood and with Planning and Business Intelligence to ensure that data is enhanced for external reporting into league tables.
