Personal Development Tutor (PDT) Toolkit

Information and Resources for Staff

The New PDT Framework for 2024-2025 is the University's definitive source of information on our approach to personal development tutoring at Edinburgh Napier. Approved by the University's Education & Student Experience Committee in September 2024, it is the authoritative reference point for PDTs, and provides guidance on the role and signposting to resources and additional support.

The resources and information in the PDT Toolkit below are designed to supplement the PDT Framework and further help you in fulfilling your role as a PDT. Please also visit the PDT Moodle Community on Supporting your role as Personal Development Tutor .

If you have any queries or comments, or suggestions for additional resources, please contact dlte@napier.ac.uk.

PDT FAQs: Gathered by experienced PDTs. Searchable on askNapier. PDT Signposting: A list of services that offer support to students detailing what support they provide and how to contact them. PDT resources: Additional Info and documents that may be helpful in supporting students.

Within each School is a Lead PDT who should be your first point of contact with any queries about your role.
