Emergency Response Procedures


Edinburgh Napier has developed comprehensive response procedures to ensure the effective management of emergency incidents, these Emergency Response Procedures (ERPs) form part of the overall Business Continuity Management framework.


The Emergency Response Procedures provide guidance to staff, students and visitors on the actions to be taken in response to a number of defined emergency situations. They will be reviewed and updated regularly and there is an annual testing schedule of the procedures in place.


As it is neither possible nor desirable to prepare Emergency Response Procedures to address every type of emergency, a generic procedure has been developed for use in such situations.
