Fiona Mason – Leader of Business Engagement
Fiona specialises in the commercialisation of IP and technology and in University- business engagement. She is skilled in IP management, in relationship building and in supporting the translation of academic research into tangible commercial opportunities.
Fiona has over 12 years’ experience in working with industry and has significant experience in developing key strategic business relationship accounts, the exploitation of research and innovation and in stakeholder development with external partners (industry, key funding bodies, Research Councils and Innovation Centres).

Jamie Brogan – Leader of Professional Development
Jamie is both a specialist in developing partnerships with employers to deliver work-based learning and an experienced business adviser who has spent over 15 years providing advice on leadership and strategy to senior management teams in Scotland’s fastest growing companies and over 18 years advising both high growth and small businesses.
He specialises in business improvement enabled by both learning and technology and has become an expert in championing delivery of accredited learning in a non-academic setting. He brings a wealth of consultancy skills and experience to understanding and addressing the needs of key customers, and demonstrating Edinburgh Napier’s ability to bring value to their business.

Morven Fraser - Business Engagement Manager
Morven has spent time working in industry, specifically focussing on helping companies to value and realise their intellectual property assets. She specialises in leading and delivering high-value projects, on time and on budget, and has worked with a variety of key stakeholders to provide solutions to complex issues. Morven is responsible for supporting the delivery of the University’s Research and Innovation Strategy 2020 as part of RIO leading to an increase in business engagement and external income. Morven will be responsible for generating new business relationships, as well as supporting academic staff in the Business School to maintain and deepen client relationships in order to maximise commercial income from business and establish long-term mutually beneficial partnerships. Morven is excited to help the University increase its commercial engagement and is available to help support applications for commercial projects as well as cultivating any business relationships. In addition, she’s happy to help with the protection of intellectual property and support for commercialisation of IP.
A graduate of the University of St Andrews, Morven holds an MA in French Language and Literature as well as a PhD in French from the same university.

Georgina Jamieson – Knowledge Exchange Manager
Georgina is responsible for supporting activities around the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF), which is a key priority initiative for the University.
She is responsible for implementing the University’s ISCF strategy and supports a strategic approach for the University to cultivate and foster new industry partners. Further, she creates an enabling environment for academics to ensure they are informed and updated on relevant opportunities across the various waves of challenges. She acts as the point of contact between industry and external partners when developing and submitting applications.
