Internationalise our work
The International Programmes team sit in the larger team of International Operations and Student Recruitment headed by Alan McLachlan.
The International Operations and Student Recruitment function seeks to grow the University’s international profile through increasing the number of international students studying in Edinburgh, online and through our programmes delivered overseas (TNE).
Transnational Education
Globally we have over 4000 students studying on Edinburgh Napier’s TNE programmes, across the Schools. We deliver these programmes in partnership with overseas universities and education providers.
Our team provide daily liaison with our partners, support and administer the programmes right through from application stage to graduations- with everything in between!

- Responsible for 57 programmes across Edinburgh Napier University
Team of 11 Programme Administrators across Craiglockhart & Sighthill
Income from TNE generated £6.5 million in 2016/7 - 50% of commercial income
Arranged 19 graduation ceremonies in 4 countries in 2016
over 2200 students graduated in 2016/7
1,039 Hong Kong TNE students graduated in March 2017
Arranged travel/accommodation for around 300 TNE teaching trips
Secured visas for over 60 travellers on over 100 trips to Hong Kong
4,060 students studying at partner institutions worldwide
