National Student Survey (NSS)
The NSS is aimed at final-year undergraduates and is used to
gather feedback from students about their time at university. It provides our
students with the opportunity to voice their opinions about their Edinburgh
Napier experience, from learning and teaching to university services and their
social experience.
The survey runs from January to April each year, with the
results being published around July.
The role of the Student Communications team is to promote
the survey to students, encouraging them to respond and give their feedback. We
do this in a number of ways, including posters, digital screens and the student
newsletter. We also utilise social media to post a series of videos from
student ambassadors, who talk about their experience in filling out the
survey and why it was important for their fellow students to make their voices
heard.
We also provide a staff hub, where colleagues can access all
the materials and information required to tell students about the survey. This
gives staff the tools to confidently communicate what the NSS is, why it is
important and how to complete the survey.
