Obtaining ISBNs and ISSNs
The Library can issue ISBNs for books and assist with obtaining ISSNs for journals published by Edinburgh Napier University. This service is available to academic staff at Edinburgh Napier University.
Applying for an ISBN
Apply for an ISBN (International Standard Book Number) if you have written a book.
Obtaining an ISSN
Apply for an ISSN (International Standard Serial Number) if you are starting a journal series.
Legal Deposit
If you are responsible for publishing books and journals within Edinburgh Napier University, you are obliged to deposit your publications with the British Library and the Agency for the Legal Deposit Libraries.
