Cyber Essentials
The University does not currently hold any Cyber Essentials or Cyber Essentials Plus certifications. Our previous Cyber Essentials Plus certification expired in October 2023 after the University decided not to renew it in favour of adopting the Scottish Government’s Cyber Resilience Framework version 2.0, which is both self-assessed and also independently verified by the University auditors.
If you are involved in work where the University is required to demonstrate its adherence to cyber security best practices and/or standards, we are happy to work with you on providing appropriate assurance of this. In instances where Cyber Essentials is an absolute requirement, we can also discuss the possibility of organising a limited-scope certification e.g to cover a specific research team or business area.
