Induction Timetables

 

As part of the Matriculation Project a review of existing induction and Freshers’ Week schedules was carried out with the intention of creating a University-wide template for all to use. As a result of that review an induction template has been developed on the basis that:

  • the needs of the student are at the forefront. Therefore it may be necessary to have a separate document with additional information for staff only and this would be for each programme team to decide;
  • the landscape format is easier to view and shows the complete week of events on one page;
  • the schedule of events is to be known as Induction Timetable;
  • Freshers’ Fair or Immigration and Finance Checks should not be included in the template as these events are not hosted by the School. However, if you wish to include them please note the agreed terminology and spelling; Freshers’ Fair, Immigration and Finance Checks;
  • use the full word rather than an abbreviation; Honours rather than Hons, undergraduate rather than UG, etc;
  • where possible, the timetable should be restricted to one side of A4;
  • a footer with an automatic date has been included to track the latest version.

All completed Induction Timetables should be emailed to enquiries@napier.ac.uk so they can be added to the Your Induction page on myNapier.
