Welcome Communications
Welcome emails are sent to all students at UF (Unconditional Firm) status from start of December onwards. In previous years new students received a welcome pack by post which contained a Welcome Guide. Now the process is paperless, all information is available under New Students on myNapier.

Online Matriculation
From start of December onwards students will be sent a series of emails that will give them access to university IT services and to the online matriculation process.
There are three emails as follows:
Getting Registered with Edinburgh Napier University (Step 1 of 3)
This email advises students about the matriculation process.
Getting Registered with Edinburgh Napier University (Step 2 of 3)
This email gives students a secure link to create their Edinburgh Napier password which they will use to access all IT services.
Getting Registered with Edinburgh Napier University (Step 3 of 3)
This email confirms that they have successfully created their password and then gives the link to the online matriculation process, the password manager and the online Introduction to Computing & Library Services.
At the end of the matriculation process students will be told if they have to attend the Immigration and Finance checks on campus and they will also be told when and where to collect their student ID card.
They will have access to their student email address and if they don’t have to attend the Immigration and Finance checks they will also have access to core modular information on Moodle.
If a student does have to attend the Immigration and Finance checks, they can still access Moodle. However, they will not be able to access any modular information until they have fully signed off their matriculation at the Immigration and Finance checks.
