​​Chemicals and Oils

All chemicals used at the University must be registered on the University-wide chemicals database. For access to the database, please contact your school or department technician or the Health & Safety Office. COSHH assessment forms are also available on the Health & Safety Office intranet pages. All contractors onsite must adhere to all Health & Safety procedures.

The appropriate procurement, use and storage of chemicals is covered through the development of our Environmental Management System (EMS) to ensure that we meet all good practice and legislative requirements. A copy of our legislative register is available on our Useful Links​ page.

If you notice any chemical, oil or other spills in any public, indoor or outdoor space at Edinburgh Napier, please email Facilities Service Desk on FacilitiesServiceDesk@napier.ac.uk​ or call ext. 5000 immediately.
