The English as a Foreign Language (EFL) team offer pre-sessional courses designed to improve prospective students’ English language skills, and prepare them for UK academic culture and life in Edinburgh.
We do this by offering a range of courses including short four-, six- and eight-week pre-sessional programmes, and eight- and twelve-month long English courses.
We also help schools organise credit- and non-credit-bearing short courses and summer schools tailored to suit different needs and requirements, for example to:
respond to an overseas organisation’s request
engage in international student activities
enhance relationships with existing partners
increase student numbers enrolled on a programme (intensive, credit-bearing courses)
