​Getting Started with your University laptop

When you start at the University you will be given your email address, login ID (also termed username) and password.  You use these credentials to log in to your University laptop (if applicable) and other University online services.

• ​Before you use any of the computer equipment you should work through the Cyber Security training and read the Information Security Policies. 

• ​You will find further information about your University laptop on the Managed Laptop intranet page.

• If you need access to software that is not already available and you have your line manager’s approval with a suitable business case, you can request the addition of local software on the Managed Laptop Software Request page.​ 

• View the Status of the University's Online Services via the Service Status Screen​.

• Visit the Digital Skills​ page to find out how you can discover and build your digital capability. ​
