Getting Started

When you start at the University you will be given your email address, login ID (also termed username) and password as well as a Getting Started on the IT Services guide.  If any of this information is missing please contact your Line Manager.

Read the Getting Started on the IT Services guide. 

The Getting Started guide will give you all the information you need to get started on the University's IT systems and services, it will explain where to go for further help and information and provides a checklist to ensure you're all set up. 

​If you don't already have access to a managed laptop you can request one via the Managed Laptop intranet page, where you'll also find a link to a short video to tell you about the service and help you get started. 

Useful Tips for New Staff

• ​Before you use any of the computer equipment you should work through the Cyber Security training and read the Information Security Policy. 
• You can contact us via the IS Service Desk, visit the Contact Us page for further information.
