Conclusion

It is extremely encouraging that when considering the overall University results and all the questions asked there has been a positive gain in 98% of the questions asked (64 out of 65 questions).  This clearly indicates that employee engagement has improved.

The survey provider indicated that these are a much improved set of results that are clearly heading in the right direction, with a number of responses being above average when compared to other organisations using this survey (a mixture of private and public UK organisations).

This improvement can be attributed to the commitment and work of many staff in the University and a number initiatives that have taken place over the last two years. This was particularly emphasised when the Employee Engagement Champions met in July 2013 to share with each other some of the really great activity taking place in an effort to make the necessary improvements detailed in each areas 2012/13 Employee Engagement Action Plan.
