Information Services and the Research & Innovation Office worked together to bring you the Researcher Skills Forum in March 2018.
The event spanned all three campuses and included a variety of interactive workshops and speakers including:
• Speakers and hands-on workshops for all types of researchers – from starting a literature review to developing your career and dealing with stress and work-life balance.
• How to get published in The Conversation – with tips from an editor and a staff member’s personal story. • Updates on academic publishing – including editors’ view on how to write for publication success and respond to review feedback. • Around the World lunch at Sighthill – Stalls and information about careers, funding and research development, Library support, large data storage and more. Participants could get stamps on their Research Passport and win prizes.
