Information Services shortlisted for a Times Higher Education Award
The "Oscars of Higher Education"
We are delighted to have been nominated in the Outstanding Support for Students category for our work to make exam results day less stressful for our students. This was through the implementation of Relaxation Spaces in our Libraries, Shelf Help and the introduction of MyResults to deliver exam results via iNapier.
The specially created Relaxation areas comprised of sofas and colourful cushions, with jigsaws, games, colouring books and earplugs available to those who wanted some real quiet time.
Shelf Help, a bibliotherapy initiative provided students with access to a range of self-help materials, was also introduced, with feedback from students saying reading about other people’s experiences and feelings can sometimes help you understand your own.
Whilst MyResults delivered exam results via a popup notification on the iNapier app without needing to login to eStudent Records - quicker and easier for students.
To be shortlisted is a fantastic achievement - well done to all those involved!
The full shortlist can be found on the THE website and the Awards ceremony will be held on 28 November 2019 in Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
