Election of the Chair of Court
Voting has closed for Edinburgh Napier University to elect a new Chair of its governing body, the University Court.
The result of the election is as follows:
June Boyle: 407 votes
Gwyneth Scholefield: 214 votes
Total Votes: 621
Total Electorate (Staff, Students, Sabbatical Officers & Court): 20,619
Turnout: 3.01%
June Boyle is duly elected Chair of the University Court for a four year period, commencing 1 August 2020.

The Chair is responsible for the leadership and effectiveness of the Court and, together with the Court and the Principal, will help shape the University’s strategic direction and oversee its performance, ensuring the highest standards of corporate governance in accordance with the provisions of the Scottish Code of Good Higher Education Governance.
