Annual Leave Purchase Scheme
The University's Annual Leave Purchase Scheme provides additional flexibility by allowing you to buy extra annual leave if you would like to take more than your standard contractual entitlement.
The University has two annual leave purchase windows a year. One in August and another in February. You can purchase up to a total of your weekly hours in additional leave over the course of both purchase windows.
The cost of additional annual leave is calculated at your normal daily rate and will be recovered direct from your salary over a 12 or 6 month period as appropriate.

Requesting additional leave is straightforward

· Login to HR Connect and click on 'My Time' on the left hand side of the screen.
· With the 'Holiday' card click on 'Buy and Sell'.
· Select Position name and Scheme name
· Select Holiday Period Dates: Select the relevant leave year
· Select 'Buy' in Action Drop Down and then the number of hours you would like to purchase
· A total value - an indicative cost of annual leave purchase will appear
· Click 'Save', this will then forward your request to your manager for approval.
