Family Friendly Leave

Dependent Care Leave

There may be circumstances where a staff member needs some flexibility to help them with unexpected events. This may include looking after children when they fall ill or attend an appointment; or caring for elder, frail or ill relatives or dependents. A maximum of two days paid leave may be granted in a 12 month period.

Managers are also encouraged to explore alternative options, if required, to cover the need for additional time off including annual leave; unpaid leave; flexi leave; time off in lieu or a temporary reduction in contracted hours.
