The Recruitment Brief
The Recruitment Briefing Meeting
Evidence has shown us that working with your Talent Acquisition Consultant to plan how your vacancy is going to be presented will yield better results and candidates with more relevant experience for your vacancy.
Once your SAF has passed through the approval chain, your Talent Acquisition Consultant will contact you to organise a briefing meeting to discuss the recruitment campaign and process.
In order to maximise the results of your campaign, it is important for you to prepare certain pieces of information to discuss during the briefing, so that an appropriate job advert can be put together to help attract the right candidates.
The Recruitment Briefing Meeting – Items for preparation document will guide you on what to think about to get the best out of your recruitment campaign. Please have a read through this document prior to the Briefing Meeting with your Talent Acquisition Consultant.
You should also have a think about a target start date for your new appointment and dates that you are available to interview.
The Interview Panel
You will also need to consider who needs to be on your interview panel. For information on how panels should be constituted, please see the Edinburgh Napier Selection and Appointment Process.
For any roles that require an external panel member, the hiring manager/panel chair will be responsible for providing details for a suitable individual that the Talent Acquisition Team can contact.
