Once you have returned your completed Appointment Form to your Consultant, they will make the offer to the preferred candidate. The Appointment Form can be found as directed - please note, no offer can be made without a completed Appointment Form.
Your Consultant should be the one to make the offer except in special circumstances. If you find that you have no appointable candidates after interview, your Consultant will discuss further options. The Talent & Resourcing Team will regret all other candidates and give feedback within 3 days.
New appointments will normally be made at the first salary point within the grade. However, the University acknowledges that there may be justifiable reasons to appoint above the bottom of the salary scale. The attached guidance will help in the event you want to offer above the bottom of the scale. You will need to submit a written justification to be approved by the Head of HR Operations before you can make the offer.
