Mx Adam Satur

[they/them]

Engagement Officer

Sighthill Campus, Room 7.B.17
t: (0131) 455 3505

I joined Edinburgh Napier University in 2018 as a programme administrator for the undergraduate Biological Sciences suite of programmes. My previous work has involved support for learning at school age, as a classroom assistant in a Secondary Resource Provision high school in Edinburgh, and as a music instructor.

I joined DLTE in the summer of 2022 as an Engagement Officer. I am keen to connect with colleagues across the university, to learn about their work, interests, and areas of potential future exploration, in order to support them, promote their work and assist in community building.

My professional interests are in intersectional inclusion in education, the working world and broader society. I have been co-chair of the staff LGBT+ Network at Edinburgh Napier University since early 2021, and my focus in this role has been on increasing the environment of diversity within our network, in order to welcome a wider range of colleages and provide for their needs.

I follow the social model of disability and aim to support social development to remove barriers to inclusion, whether based on physical or learning disability, identity based exclusion, neurodiversity or cultural exclusion.
