I joined Edinburgh Napier in 2017 as Quality & Standards Manager and have held various roles in higher education in the UK and overseas since 1999.
I have a particular interest in student engagement and student-staff partnership. I lead on student involvement in our quality processes and work closely with colleagues in the University and ENSA to take forward student engagement initiatives. I am also a member of the University’s PDT Forum, constituted to enhance personal development tutoring at the University and to support the University’s Personal Development Tutors (PDTs).
As Quality & Standards link for the School of Applied Sciences, I supporedt the School through Institution-led review and the approval of new programmes. Together with colleagues in the Quality & Standards Team I provided advice and guidance on the
University’s Quality Framework and
Academic Regulations.
I am a QAA ELIR Reviewer and member of Scotland’s Quality Forum. I represent the University at sparqs Student Engagement Staff Network, am on the Board of UKAT (UK Advising & Tutoring), and participated in the Advance HE Aurora programme (2013/14 cohort). I have a Masters in German from Pennsylvania State University, where I taught undergraduate courses in German language and German cultural studies.
