Frontrunner 2014
The Business School ran the Frontrunner Common Purpose Course for 40 Business students from across undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes during May 2014. The course was jointly funded by the Business School and the Graduate Employability Project. The course will be run again next May 2015. There is additional funding to run a two day bespoke course on ‘leadership skills for Business School students’ - interested staff should contact Deborah Callister to discuss further.
The Frontrunner Course offered Business School students the opportunity to:
- Connect to, learn from and share with a diverse mix of peer leaders
- Build vision, skills and confidence to be effective leaders in civil society
- Get a first-hand insight into real life organisational challenges and individuals who lead them
- Continue to develop self-awareness and understanding of leadership concepts to aid future careers and activities
- Gain a greater knowledge of how power works, how decisions are made and how change can be brought about
