Titanic Award at Belfast Conference for SMT&L Staff
Dr. Anna Leask, Dr. Louise Todd and David Jarman attended and presented papers at the International Conference on Tourism and Events hosted by Ulster Business School, the University of Ulster in June.
At the Conference, Louise presented a paper co-authored with Dr. Anna Leask and Dr. Paul Barron, entitled: Engaging with Gen Y at Museum Events. This was ultimately awarded “Runner-up for best presentation of a paper”.
The award was a striking print of Titanic-themed stamps and a painting by Belfast-based artist, Jim MacDonald. This was presented by the artist and Dr. Una McMahon-Beattie of Ulster Business School at a reception which took place at the newly opened Titanic Centre Belfast.
ENU Business School’s presence at the conference was reinforced by the attendance of SMT&L Visiting Professor, Alan Fyall, and Associate of EIFET and Visiting Research Fellow, Kenneth Wardrop who were Keynote Speakers at the Conference.
