Saltire Scholarships
The Business School has received funding from the Scottish Government through the Saltire Scholarships for Outward Mobility 2014/15 fund which aims to provide Scottish students with support for further opportunities to study overseas.
Funding will enable Business School students to take part in the European project Week organised by ACEEPT. The European Project week will be held in November 2014 in Switzerland and is aimed at all 2nd year undergraduate students in the field of Tourism who are keen to put into practice what they have learnt so far, to share ideas and experience an international environment. Every year, the ACEEPT organization promotes a project week in which students conduct an in-depth research on a tourism related theme. The theme of European Project Week 2014 is: “Improving the tourism experience through authenticity”. Students work in mixed groups from different nationalities under the guidance of lecturers and professionals. Over 100 students from 10 different European countries have the chance to experience an exciting and challenging international and educational week in a multi-lingual context. The week encourages mobility, cultural awareness and enhances student employability skills.
