Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy
The Business School has got its first Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). Dr Monika Foster, Senior Lecturer and Senior Teaching Fellow at the School of Marketing, Tourism and Languages, was successful in her direct application to the Higher Education Academy for the highest professional recognition in the new UKPSF scheme, the title of Principal Fellow. She was awarded Principal Fellow of the HEA (PFHEA) in August 2014 in recognition for her outstanding work in leading work on enhancing student experience and her leadership in pedagogic research, as well as her contributions to the national and international HE developments. Dr Foster was awarded the title of Senior Fellow of HEA earlier this year through the ENRoute application.
Monika is delighted to receive this recognition. She says this award is testimony to the outstanding work of the Teaching Felllows, and the excellent colleagues and students she has been lucky to learn from and to work with in her School, the University and beyond.
Monika is the third member of staff at Edinburgh Napier to receive this highest professional recogniton from the HEA.
Many Congratulations to Monika on her award.
