Academic Workload Framework 2016 (AWF 2016)
Academic Workload Framework 2016 (AWF) was developed in partnership with EIS in 2016. This replaces the previous version last updated in 2011. AWF is intended to provide a flexible basis for the allocation of all aspects of academic work, including teaching, research, commercial, and academic support activities. Deans of School are accountable for the local operation of the framework, which can be varied to meet local need with the approval of the AWF Steering Group (see framework for further details). All schools should utilise AWF 2016 when distributing academic responsibilities for the academic year 2017/18.
